This is the 2nd chicken dish that can be made from that family pack of chicken drumsticks bought for $0.98/lb!

Ingredients:
- 3-5 pieces of chicken legs
- Boiled eggs, dried tofu, bamboo (optional)
- 2 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 3 pieces of star anise
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 cloves of garlic
- few pieces of ginger, sliced into thin pieces
- water to cover chicken
- 1 teaspoon 5-spice powder
- optional: black or white ground pepper, clove, loose leaf green tea
Directions:
1. In a pot/pan, heat up cooking oil and brown chicken for a few seconds.
2. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, star anise, cinnamon stick, garlic and ginger.
3. Add water until chicken is completely emerged.
4. Reduce heat to medium. Let chicken simmer in soy sauce stock for 30-45 minutes or until cooked.
5. Add in 5-spice powder and continue to let chicken simmer for another 15 minutes.
8. Arrange onto plate and serve.
